Nothing we ever do for God is useless. Everything matters. We may not see it at the time. We may not see it now, sometimes not until years later, but everything has a purpose. God has an ultimate design, and He brings us alongside him to fulfill his goals for not only us but for the world around us. We get to take part in creating the bigger picture.
It’s like putting a puzzle together, we are pieces in that puzzle and when the picture comes into focus, it will paint a beautiful portrait of His love to the world. The beautiful design God has made for each of us. The good work he has laid out for each of us in advance. The road we are to walk, in His perfect will.
What a blessing that is.
It is something to impact the world around us. To see a light shine through someplace where darkness once stood. To hear voices sing where silence once permeated. To see hope in the eyes of someone who once held despair. The love of God is what changes a person. Taking that piece of the puzzle and placing it in a person, is what could make them whole. A prayer, a gentle word, a song of hope, or just mere presence in a time of despair.
It is the small things that change the world, so continue to do them. Never give up. When one of us stands strong, others will see us and join us, then you have strength of numbers. The more pieces of the puzzle will be seen, and the picture of Christ will be revealed.
