Being patient has never been one of my strong suits. But lately in my life I have learned much about the process of patience. It seems that I am being put to the test even more the last month. Between finances, family issues, and more family issues, I have never felt God giving me the opportunity to test my patience more than ever. I know I will make it through it, but it is tough, and I constantly feel on the edge.
I always fall back to one of my favorite verses during these times. It is found in I Corinthians. We are taught that the temptations in this life are not strong enough to defeat us. God is always faithful and He is enough when we put Him first. When we trust in Him, we have all we need to overcome any temptation we may face, even the temptation to be impatient with the calamities of our life.
Even though you may be facing an impossible struggle, God is faithful. You may be at the bottom of a pit, that you may have even dug yourself and you may be looking up to see the bottom. There is a way out of it—Christ. He is the answer. He is my answer. In the middle of the struggle, the darkness, the storm, He is there.
I know this time will pass and I will have a testimony of Gods deliverance to share. But until then I have my faith and past experience to bring me through. I trust you have your “way out and endure” to testify to. If not, or you are working through it, I pray this is an inspiration to you. God bless, my friend.
“The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.” — I Corinthians 10:13
