Everyone knows about the Hurricanes and storms that have hit the southern US. Florida and N. Carolina in particular. With Helene alone, there was $26 billion in damage. It isolated the town of Asheville, North Carolina. Along with federal government aid, 22 states have sent aid. Many humanitarian programs have also sent relief to the area. Members of our church felt led to do the same. They collected items, which included generators, and a team was sent to the area.
Their journey was not an easy one. But when God has a plan, he always sees it through. Not too far into their drive, the axle on their trailer broke. Amidst finding out what to do, they found a man through a local church who donated his cattle trailer for their use to complete their trip. He also arranged for their damaged trailer to be fixed while they were making their delivery, expenses paid.
If that weren’t enough, upon their arrival, when they greeted the person in charge, he was blown away because that morning he had been in contact by someone looking for generators, of which he had none. But he told the caller that he would find some. Talk about God’s timing. The axle breaking, their delay, the caller’s need, his phone call, their arrival.
God has a plan in all things. While we may not see it at the time, his timing is perfect. It certainly was for the supplier; he was in prayer for generators to provide. It certainly was for the one in need of that generator. I’m confident he was on his knees as well.
God is in control of all things. He knows our need and he will supply it in his timing, which is always perfect. So, if you are in need today, your answer is on its way. Better yet if you are currently facing any type of struggle, like a broken axle, know there is a purpose behind it. You could be the answer to someone’s prayer.
There is a purpose in all things. Our successes and our trials. Praise God in your successes and praise God in the storms. They may not be easy, but there is a purpose behind them that God has that draws us closer to him.
“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:19
