I just realized it was Wednesday and time for my blog. It is late and I almost gave it up for the week, but with my life as it is going on, I knew I had to write something. Life is crazy, but I know that God is in control.
If you have missed my posts doctors have discovered a mass on my appendix. I met with the surgeon this week and we are having surgery on December 23. The surgeon will also repair a hernia I have. She said that I will be in and out of the hospital the same day. I’m not too sure about that, but we shall see. They will test the mass and then will determine what happens from there.
I say again, God is in control. I don’t know what to expect. Cancer or not. The surgeon said if the area is cancerous, they may need to remove part of the colon, then chemo. But that is an extreme circumstance, and she won’t know until she gets in there and removes the appendix.
No matter what happens in our lives, God knows where we are. We can only trust in Him and as the Bible teaches, not to lean on our own understanding. I most certainly don’t know what December 23 holds, but I know that God will hold me in his hand, and my family should the outcome be less favorable than I desire.
Each of us has a plan for our lives and whatever we face God knows. Dark times may come, days when we may have questions of God’s existence. But He is there and always will be. Trust in Him. Acknowledge Him. A path will light up before you telling you, this is the way, walk in it.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” – Proverbs 3:5-6
