My journey has been an incredible adventure. To sum it up it began last October with a Urologist visit for my annual CT of my abdomen due to my Neurofibromatosis; I have cysts on my liver and kidneys that require monitoring. The Urologist found the appendix tumor that sent me to the surgeon that sent me to the Oncologist. The Oncologist’s PET scan found the stone that led me back to my Urologist. So, from October 2024 to May 2025, my doctors have been playing hot potato with me, and I have come full circle.
Yesterday, in my Two Twenty-Two Tuesday, I talked about the storms in life. Today, I want to address God’s timing. Carolyn lost her job about a week before my surgery. Two days before yesterday’s Urologist appointment she got a job. My cancer journey is over, and she was able to be there every step of the way. Could I have made it with her still working? Sure, we have been through tough times before. But God provided for us every step of her time off work. And now it’s over and this new job opportunity lays before her.
There will be times in our life when we feel like I did, a hot potato. Passed on from one dilemma to dilemma. Questioning to uncertainty to worry. But when you are in Christ, you have someone who is there. And as I also said in my video, we will stand fearless. He holds us close and assures us of his presence.
My Urologist laughed as I explained my thoughts on the situation. We discussed my situation and through God’s mercies, I am well again. When we put our worries in his hands He will not toss them aside. No, he will pull us close and hold us. It doesn’t have to be a cancer scare or a jobless issue. Any situation you may face. His Word teaches us to cast our cares upon him for he cares for you. We can take that to the bank.
“Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” – I Peter 5:6-7
