Throughout our lives, we’ve always heard “the end is near.” You see the cartoons where the guy is standing on the corner with a sign toting the warning. It has all been thrown around so much that we all have grown callous to the gentle nudges God’s Word gives us.
We are also told that no man knows the hour or day. That His coming will be like a thief in the night. Yet, we are warned to be prepared. Like the ten virgins. We should always have oil for our lamps.
Recent events have shown us that we can no longer remain silent. One voice was abruptly silenced, but it stirred thousands more. It caused an awakening. A stirring of voices for the cause of Christ. One that is needed as we approach the final days.
We read of what is happening in the Middle East, things that were prophesied about in the Bible. Our time here is drawing close. Jesus is preparing to make his grand descent to Earth to take his church home. No matter how it happens, pre, mid, or post… it will happen. We just need to be ready. And that means turning to Him as our Lord and Savior.
Jesus died for our sins two thousand years ago; better yet, He rose again to conquer the death we should all face. Praise His name!! He gives us this gift for free. All we need to do is turn to Him and receive it.
We are nearing the end of time, my friends. Only God knows when that is, but His Word gives us direction on what the world will be like when it should happen, and those happenings are unfolding around us. We need to be ready.
“But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” – Matthew 24:13-14
