When was the last time you told someone about something good that has occurred in your life? Chances are, when you hit a milestone, reach a goal, or accomplish something great, you are the first one to pick up your device or hop online and tweet or post about your success. It is a gut reaction to shout it from the rooftop about that achievement. It’s human nature to love seeing your name in the spotlight.
There is one thing we can do as well. When we have a friend or colleague who reaches those milestones, we can cheer them on and share in their excitement. Give them praise and pass the information on to others so they can rejoice in the goals that are being reached. It is all about passing it on. Paying it forward. Because when we share in others’ achievements, they will join us in ours.
The one thing we need to give attention to is that all our works belong to God. All our good works are a result of His blessing. Our talents and abilities are given to us for our well-being and as a witnessing tool to draw others to Him. We succeed and direct our success to God’s blessing. Everything belongs to Him; we are just stewards of it. So, in the middle of our declarations, let’s give praise and glory to the Lord. Point to Him, to draw others to Him.
“One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts” – Psalms 145:4
