Moments for the Heart

Hey all. I just had to stop by because I am so excited about everything that has happened in the last few months. Well, it’s been an interesting road, but finish lines have been crossed, and new journeys have begun.

I want to begin by thanking all of you. Most of you were there at the beginning of my journey when I began sharing Little Reminders of Who I Am and The Five Barred Gate with you four years ago. Your encouragement was a primary reason I continued this journey. Now, here I sit with five published novels, four children’s books, and two more on the way. This is the reason I write today.

The first joy I share is that the first novel I brought to you, The Five Barred Gate, is finally getting its sequel. I have shared many snippets with you. I got word from my publisher on Friday that our publish date will be January 3, 2025. Yes, it was a bit of a wait, but there are so many amazing authors out there we must wait in line. The second joy is that in addition to TFBG2, I have news about The Transference II. While we were talking, my publisher and I chose to ink a publication date for that novel as well. We are looking at October 26, 2025. Next year will be jam-packed with novel releases. I am excited about all that will be going on. I’ve shared snippets of that novel with you as well.

The third joy. If you remember, I am also a Children’s author. You also may remember, in 2022, I had issues with my Children’s publisher. Well, earlier last month, I was able to secure the rights to Elissa the Curious Snail. Now I own her. Elissa has come home!! That makes me a self-published author. I may consider taking them to my novel publisher, but I may see how this self-publishing thing goes. If any of you are self-published, I could use some pointers on how you like or hate it.

I just wanted to take the time to let you know what has been going on in my neck of the woods since I have seemed to drop off the face of the earth. I miss you guys. I pray your works are doing well and you are finding all the success in the world.

I know this year will be filled with editing. Finishing TFBG2 by the end of March so WordCrafts can have the time to run through their editing process and perhaps even get ahead of the game and release it earlier than Jan 2025 (which is a possibility), then diving into the 125K word monstrosity of The Transference II. That’ll be interesting.
